Volunteer - Keep the Tour de Brooklyn rolling.

We are looking for volunteers on bikes to help keep our riders safe during the ride, as well volunteers for set-up, the rest stop, clean-up and the Brooklyn Navy Yard (new for this year) . Loading Day Friday (May 23rd, 11 am-2 pm ):

Help load all our materials at the T.A. office.

Set up at DUMBO (May 25th, 6:30-8 am):

Help set up the start in DUMBO (New Dock St and Water St). This work involves heavy lifting and setup of tables, chairs and literature.

Check-in at DUMBO (May 25th, 8:30-9:30 am):

Sign riders up for the tour in DUMBO (New Dock St and Water St) and direct people to the start location. This is the most important volunteer job, because a smooth start sets a positive tone for the whole ride.

Rest stop crew in Maria Hernandez Park (May 25th, 9:30 am - 12 pm):

Join us at Maria Hernandez Park to feed our hungry and thirsty riders. Get first pick in snacks here.

Finish at Walt Whitman Park (May 25th, 12-2 pm):

Greet riders returning from the tour. Help T.A. clean up and hand out goody bags. Walt Whitman Park, at Cadman Plaza East

Standing Marshal at the Brooklyn Navy Yard (May 25th, 10-1pm ):

Help riders navigate through the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which is usually closed to the public.

Riding Marshal (May 25th, 8 am-2pm), must be over 18:

Help keep our riders safe and help them with basic mechanical problems like flat tires and slipped chains. Riding marshals must have their own bikes and be comfortable with riding in Brooklyn.

Kid's Bike Parade Registration (May 25th, 6-7 am):

Coinciding with the 125th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge, T.A. is hosting a kids family ride over the Brooklyn Bridge. We need help checking people in at City Hall. Ride over the bridge and join us at our main Brooklyn start at DUMBO afterwards.

Kid's Bike Parade Marshal (May 25th, 7:30-8:30 am):

Coinciding with the 125th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge, T.A. is hosting a kids family ride over the Brooklyn Bridge. We need help marshaling a group of 200 kids and parents over the bridge to our main Brooklyn start at DUMBO. Join as a regular marshal afterwards.

Register as a group of 5 or more.

Waiver: By participating in this activity, you indicate that you understand the nature and dangers of bicycling activities, are qualified to participate in such activities and do so at your own risk. Children: Adults bringing children under the age of 14 are responsible for them and required to accompany the children throughout the ride. Please note the New York law requires children aged 14 and under wear a helmet when bike riding. Helmets are strongly encouraged for ALL riders.
